JEC MODELS opens "Christmas Universe"

"Christmas Universe: Jay's Model Carnival Park" is now open as of the first weekend of December, 2015. It is JEC MODELS' latest model park experience. The park stands on just 5 square feet. It is the first JEC MODELS park since the closing of Legacy Ledge earlier in 2015.

"Christmas Universe" features a total of 8 rides and attractions including a new, one-of a-kind roller coaster exclusive to the park. This model resembles a small-town holiday carnival for families with children of all ages. Most of the park's rides and attractions in this model carnival are animated, light up, and play Christmas music. Below is a list of the rides and attractions with details:

  • Colossal Coaster - Family roller coaster resembling a wooden coaster.
  • JEC MODELS Ferris Wheel - Our newest ferris wheel addition to JEC MODELS stands an astonishing 21 inches high. The wheel resembles the modern tourist-style ferris wheel primary found in large cities around the world.
  • Nutcracker Mini Broadway Show - A 6-scene show featuring fully animated choreography, lights, and state-of-the-art music. Performances take place once every hour.
  • Train to Anastasia - A family train ride that circles our centerpiece animated snow globe.
  • The Naughty Ship - JEC MODELS' first model swinging ship reaches 40 degrees at its peak.
  • GIngerbread Gifts - Our custom-built gingerbread-style house features a dozen specialty gift vendors inside.
  • Frosty's Snack Stand - Features hot cocoa, coffee, and other unique holiday snacks. Located outside of our hand-crafted snowman.
  • Santa's Christmas Tree - (Opens 12/12) Underneath our 32" one-of -a-kind Christmas tree sits Santa Claus, waiting for kids to tell him and his elves their holiday wishes. Professional photos can be taken with Santa daily.

When this model was dreamed up, it was imagined to resemble more of a model themed park-style outdoor shopping mall, however due to several restrictions where this model has been set up, the concept has been changed for now. Upgrades to "Christmas Universe" will be ready Saturday, December 12. Upgrades include a pathway leading to the back of the park, a new white picket fence, and the arrival of our model Santa Claus. The model park will run every evening from 4pm until 8pm until the end of 2015.

GARUDA To Fly Through A JEC MODELS PARK In Early 2016

Since the closure of Ultima S-Cape in 2011, several model rides and coasters have remained in storage untouched. Among these coasters is the former "Delta Flight Force," an inverted roller coaster built for the world's largest model theme park by JEC MODELS. The coaster is still in great condition, however its coaster track has been recycled from seven other coasters which were previously in operation. Once again, the original inverted roller coaster track will be recycled, but this time for something totally different.

Inspired by Buddhist Mythology and themed in conjunction with one of the world's smartest flying animals, taking flight at just over a scaled 100ft above the ground, JEC MODELS is excited to announce GARUDA.

Garuda will be the eighth generation of JEC MODELS' original inverted roller coaster track, however it will be converted into a flying roller coaster style. A flying roller coaster introduces vehicles that feature a laying down seating arrangement. Riders will take flight through a course of loops, barrel rolls, and over banked turns. The coaster will feature a 21" tall lift hill and then soar through a course of over 300". Garuda will become JEC MODELS' largest and most twisted Flying Roller Coaster.

Garuda construction is planned to be complete and ready for flight in early 2016. Construction has already begun, though noticeable progress won't be completed until the end of 2015. The location of this new model roller coaster is undetermined at this time and will be announced at a later date.

The World's Steepest model Dive Coaster is coming this Summer 2015

The son of Skariyaptor is arriving at Legacy Ledge this Summer 2015. The coaster's theme is based on Ultima S-Cape's centerpiece mega coaster from 2010. Unlike his father, "Tigaraptor" will soar at new heights and feature new elements never seen before from JEC Models.

Legacy Ledge is proud to introduce JEC Models' tallest roller coaster ever. Standing at 39.5" above the ground, a scaled 211ft high, the coaster will plunge 32" at a 93.6° (beyond vertical) angle. The drop is scaled at 171ft, which would calculate to a maximum speed of about 70 mph. "Tigaraptor" will be classified as a dive coaster. A dive coaster gives its riders the sensation of free falling intertwined with flight.

"Tigaraptor" will begin with a 60° angled lift hill. Riders will be plummeted down a beyond vertical twisting drop. The coaster will then head into the first inversion, a 25.5" tall giant corkscrew (scaled at 136ft). Descending out of the inversion, the coaster will then take a sharp right turn and then over-bank to 95° as the train makes its way through the keyhole element. A keyhole element gives riders the sensation of a near-miss experience. The coaster will then glide around a speed turn. Guests will experience one last dip before entering the second inversion, a sleek Zero G Roll standing just 12" above the midway (scaled 64ft). "Tigaraptor" then delivers further airtime as it soars through a hop and dive turn over the park's new state of the art entrance. The coaster makes one last turn before entering the station safely. All in all, this roller coaster will feature about 22ft of twisted track (over 1400ft long scaled).

Short, though sweet (like its namesake),"Tigaraptor: The Son of Skariyaptor" will deliver nothing less than a great adrenaline rush for any thrill seeker. This roller coaster model will feature one 3-car floorless style train which holds up to 30 riders. Guests will observe white supports, a gun gray colored spine, dark red ties, and bright glowing red rails. The train will be colored with maroon seats, a red frame, and pearl white restraints. "Tigeraptor" will open officially on May 29, 2015.

Upgrades To Be Unveiled At All JEC Model Parks In Spring 2015

For Spring 2015, JEC MODELS will bring new attractions to both of their current model parks.

At "Hydro Island Model Waterpark," Polycranium will launch and splash around the park. The new ride will be the world's first and only model launching water roller coaster. Riders will jolt 30mph up and down around "Hydro Island." Before the ride returns to the station, the coaster boat will splash into a pool of water. Polycranium is slated to open March 2015.

"Legacy Ledge Model Amusement Park" will introduce 3 new attractions for the Spring 2015 season.

Grammy's Wild Lyft will be converted from a thrilling 2014 race experience into a modern 2015 55mph launch coaster. The highlighted elements of both layouts from the dueling coaster Helios have been combined into one track. The updated layout combines the 'twistscrew inversion' and 'vertical twist' along with the addition of a short tunnel in order to help create a brand new thrill ride. The roller coaster will also feature new vehicles that will hold double the capacity from the prior ride. The new vehicle will give guests the option to launch forward or backward. The coaster will launch 52 mph in just 4 seconds through a twisted course, then repeat in reverse. An updated paint scheme has been applied to Grammy's Wild Lyft as well. Colors will include a creamy purple spine with bright lime green ties and nickel steel supports. Grammy's Wild Lyft will launch out of the themed area 'Morley Village'. The ride name is intended to mock a wacky senior citizen's out-of-control, lead foot driving. Standing at 21 inches (112ft), this new modernized roller coaster will certainly be a great thrill ride for years to come for every dare devil.

JEC Models is excited to introduce the world's tallest and fastest model launching freefall tower this Spring 2015. Vostok Peak will propel to speeds reaching 87 mph (scaled) straight up in less than 2 seconds. This new unique launching drop tower will stand a record breaking 60 inches (320 feet) above the skyline of "Legacy Ledge". Riders will experience up to 5 seconds of air as they drop back to earth. This new state-of-the-art thrill ride will hold 10 guests per ride duration and will launch three times before landing safely back to the lower station. Launch one will be 87 mph, launch two will be 44 mph, and launch three will be 22 mph. Vostok Peak is themed to one of the world's largest and coldest mountains. It will be located in the themed area 'Alpine Heights'

For just the young parkgoers, Plane 13 will fly slowly around the back of "Legacy Ledge" in the themed area 'Festival Square'.

"Legacy Ledge" will also receive an entrance upgrade and new logo. The model park's website (www.modelamusementpark.com) will be updated with better user-friendly options. Attractions planned for the park will open the first weekend of April 2015.

Theme Areas To Be Introduced This Winter 2015 at Legacy Ledge

For the 2014 Holiday season, we brought you the incredible "Festival Square." This area features red, yellow, and white attractions. This new area introduced a package of family rides and a looping roller coaster.

As of January 5, 2015, Legacy Ledge will officially become a model theme park. The park will feature six themed areas each with dedicated colors.

Beginning at the front of the park, "Excursion Land" will be to the far left . Themed to a land of adventure, this more general area will feature two staple attractions; 'Infernado' and new for Winter 2015, 'Battle of the Dragons'. 'Battle of the Dragons' will be a family-style twin racing layout of tight turns and sudden direction changes. It will be located at the edge of the park. Other attractions include a 'Drive-In Mini Show,' a snack stand, and a miniature golf course.

At the center-left of Legacy Ledge will be"Alpine Heights." Themed to a chilly winter wonderland, this spectacular area features the park's largest roller coaster, 'Skylark'. 'Skylark' was introduced in Fall 2014. It features a world record breaking 8 inversions after plunging from a scaled 152-foot lift. Other area attractions include 'Snow Bus', 'Trio Singing Penguins', and 'Penguin Fever'. New in this area for Winter 2015 will be a hot chocolate stand.

As guests make their way to the very front-center of Legacy Ledge, they'l' find themselves on "Morley Road." This all-brick street of shops and food will also feature an oversized double decker carausal, a new haunted house attraction themed to the owner's grandmothers favorite birds, and the temporary entrance to 'Helios', the park's dueling launch coaster.

At right-back of the park is "District 360." This is the park's most innovative thrill ride zone. Every ride in this area will go upside down or spin 360 degrees. The staple attraction to this zone will be 'Psychedelia', a one-of-a-kind top spin thrill ride. Other attractions include 'Infinity Loop', 'The Legacy Tower', and our all-fresh-food resturant named 'The Bistro Buffet'. New for Winter 2015 in this area will be an all new spinning thrill ride named 'Manic Panic'.

To the far front-right of the park is "Festival Square". This festival-themed area features a variety of attractions for everyone. A small carausal named 'Fury Round', 'The Spur', 'Stunt Rider' looping roller coaster, 'Super Plunge' family drop tower ride, a fried chicken stand, another small spinning ride, and 'Rock & Roll Mini Show'. Nothing new is planned for this area in Winter 2015 at this time.

The upper deck of the park recieves its Colorado theme from the past attractions at another model park created for its time. The name of this area is "Western Edge." This specialty area can be accessed only by elevator at this time. It is located directed above "Festival Square." The area features a full service bar and grill, 'Iron Lasso' electric launching shuttle coaster, 'Wingrider' the longest model suspended winged coaster at a scaled 200ft tall, and new for Winter 2015 will be 'Snake Pit' - a spinning and swinging thrill ride.

Several new rides and attractions are planned for the year 2015. The move to creating themed areas will make "Legacy Ledge" more uniform. The new roller coaster planned for Winter 2015 will open a week after the season begins on 1/2/2015.

Hydro Island To Introduce The World's First-Known Working Model Water Coaster

An underwater earthquake has awakened a deep-sea monster... rising from the depths, the fabled "Polycranium"ť surfaces to terrorize JEC Models' Hydro Island. Coming this summer 2014, JEC Models will unveil the world's first working Mack-style Model Water Coaster.

Riders will begin by roaring up a steep lift hill at a steady-paced speed. Then, the coaster track will lead to a dip above our Diamond Bay Wave area. After a sharp left turn, the coaster boats will dive at an insane near-vertical 78-degree angle into the splash pool. Out of the splash zone, riders will then be carried up a gut-plunging bunny hop. Finally, the coaster will take a sudden turn into a second airtime hill before hitting the brakes at the station.

With this new state-of-the-art roller coaster, JEC Models is experimenting with a new Coaster Dynamix track system. The track gauge is smaller than usual, making this ride a 100% HO scaled coaster. A new building block system is being tested for the support system since Coaster Dynamix is no longer providing complete building systems. Instead, they are only providing the track and train systems.

Several new additions will also be offered at Hydro Island in 2014. One of these will be a new refreshment snack and bar. This area will offer a full bar of adult beverages as well as a fresh appetizer menu. Another new addition will be the option for guests to enjoy 1 of 4 new VIP Cabana Tents. Located throughout the water park, these special VIP areas will be an extra paid accomodation. For the price of $350, guests will enjoy the luxury of a full service waiter, a free appetizer, bottomless soft drinks, and a shady tent area of leather couches for a guests to lounge in. During 2014, all VIP guests will receive up to 8 free "front of the line" passes to experience "Polycranium"ť Model Water Coaster.

Iron Lasso Roller Coaster Damaged By 'Man Handlers'

The beloved "Iron Lasso" was received last week in Tampa. The ride was reported to be severely damaged during transport. The cause of the ride's disastrous transportation has been determined as 'man handling' by the Budget Moving Company. Officials are working swiftly to fix the attraction and have it ready for a re-debut in Spring 2014. Other attractions reported to have some damage include Datebreaker Mini Golf Course, The Spur, and Animal Stir.

It was reported that strong action would be taken against the persons responsible for wrecking JEC MODELS' property. A lawyer has been contacted as well as our moving insurance company. We will be working with Federal Officals to get this matter corrected. Our attractions are high-quality models and not low-priced.

Stay tuned for an official announcement in March 2014 about some exciting news for what JEC MODELS has in store for 2014!

JEC Models Introduces "Iron Lasso" to X-Cite Ledge

It is no secret that JEC Models works hard to create innovative model ride and coaster projects unique to its parks.  “X-Cite Ledge” clearly is already no exception.  The JEC Models team is proud to introduce the world’s first and only known Electric Launched Model Roller Coaster.

In September 2013, “Iron Lasso” will become the newest addition to the collection of coasters and rides at the new X-Cite Ledge.  Guests will soar with their feet dangling just inches over the track while riding on their way to the rim of an 11-story tall, HO-scaled (15.5”) half-pipe shaped track layout.

Resting securely on “Iron Lasso’s” coaster track is a 29ft-by-15ft-long (4”-by-2”scaled) model paddle board on which there is a separate, freely-rotating four-sided car. Each side of the car carries four riders facing outward, and spins on its axis as the board carves its way up and down the enormous 370-foot long (51” scaled), 112-foot high (15.5” scaled) half pipe.

“Iron Lasso” is modeled after a world known roller coaster manufacturer, Intamin AG.  Friends and family from ages teen to adult are invited to take a spin on the only model of its kind known in the world.

"Iron Lasso” will reside in the back of the park, near the “Colorado Charmer” coaster.  This new roller coaster will be the designer’s first model that is completely custom-designed without any kits.  The ride will work by utilizing 12 volts of power, a relay switch, and 2 sensors to activate the relay.

In addition to the new roller coaster set to open this October, a new website for X-Cite Ledge will launch.  You can visit us now at www.modelamusementpark.com to get all of the details about this spectacular new model.

X-Cite Ledge Construction Underway

For the first time since 2011, JEC MODELS is constructing its first model amusement park.  The park's name will be X-Cite Ledge.  While this won't be nearly as big as the company's signature model park Ultima S-Cape, the new model will feature several seen-before premium valued attractions.

X-Cite Ledge was originally planned for 2012, however location difficulties were encountered, which pushed construction back to a later time period.  Later is now.

Attractions planned for the park's grand opening include a merry-go-round, a spinning ride, a haunted house, haunted forest, and 2 state-of-the-art roller coasters.

'The Colorado Charmer' will zip its way through a colorful coaster ride of tight turns and sudden dips.

X-Cite Ledge's other roller coaster will be a high-technology 4D-style ride.  The coaster will feature mini freefalls and flip riders as the track inverts and un-inverts.

A 3rd roller coaster is planned for 2013, as well as a miniature golf course.  More detail on those attractions soon.

HYDRO ISLAND Reconstruction Back On Track

Prepare for a big splash this Winter 2013! JEC Models is working to rebuild their 2-time award-winning model water park, but with new expansion infrastructure. “Hydro Island” will reopen its gates with more new attractions once again. The park has been under reconstruction for its third time since October 2011.

The park will rebrand its one of a kind wave pool area with a new theme and name. Also, “The Black Hole” drop water slide is being re-named and re-painted to fit a new theme as well. Additionally, “River-Jack Mountain” water slide will be once again re-painted. A new area of the park will open with a half-dozen new slides, as well as a new outdoor hot tub.

By 2014, a water roller coaster of some kind is planned. Nothing is confirmed as far as how the JEC Model’s team will make this happen yet, however a plan is in motion. The ride will not be very sophisticated; however it will be a one-of-a-kind model.

“Hydro Island” is currently planned to become JEC Models' premier showcase park. Two other new models are also planned in 2013, however it is uncertain if either will ever become a reality.

JEC MODELs Unveils Latest Coaster Project

JEC Models is proud to unveil their first customized model roller coaster since 2010. The new roller coaster is built and ready to showcase in Saginaw, Michigan. The ride is built of 95% wood, 4% paper product, and 1% plastic. JEC Models contracted an individual named John Hunt from Kentucky to construct the new coaster. The roller coaster itself was designed by Jason Conley. Conley has created many major model roller coasters for all of JEC Models' parks, as well as other showcase models including a model water park.

“Runaway Ambulance” is themed to a story created by the client who received the product. The ride will begin with a 7" lift hill followed by a twisting steep first drop. Riders will then glide through a bunny hop, followed by the ride's signature "high sky spiral." The coaster finishes with a final plunge out of the spiral and a second bunny hop, before returning to its 1950’s style station.

The logo was proudly created by a Colorado artist, Cody Wallace. The ride investment exceeds $300 and is slated for a grand showcase opening in January 2013.

Hydro Island Expansion Details and Changes

JEC MODELs is proud to unveil the expansion plans for “Hydro Island: Jay’s Model Water Park.” The plan begins with a new piece of land area. This area will triple the space of the park as a whole. Up until now, “Hydro Island” was built to be a small model with minimal theming. Beginning this year, the park will become fully themed and divided into areas. Each area will have a slightly different theme to it and will feature a small list of related attractions.

The first area is Hydro Isle. This section is the original 2008 fountain, built with three water slides: ‘Redneck Twister’, ‘Black Hole’, and then in early 2009, ‘River-Jack Mountain’. Hydro Isle also has ‘Hydro River’: an action filled lazy river, and ‘Family Volleyball’ courts.

To the north is Diamond Bay. This area opened in late 2010. Its signature attraction is the world’s only known operating model wave pool, ‘Diamond Bay Waves’. Other added attractions include the ‘Diamond Bay Snack Shack’ and ‘Tube Rentals’. Also, introduced as a new state-of-the-art 2011 funnel slide is the ‘Enthraller’. This slide uses tubes to deliver its thrills and begins in the cliffs of Hydro Isle, but exits into the Diamond Bay area. In the future, the entrance of this slide will also be accessible in Diamond Bay.

West of Diamond Bay’s wave pool area will be Paradise Landing. New for 2012, this new area will feature a new waterslide and play area complex using another working fountain. JEC Models’ new signature attraction set to debut this March promises to shine in the day and then glow all evening long. This new area will be built of 3 towers, all different sizes, with 6 water slides, a wading pool, and a bundle of kid-friendly water shooters, random water drenching pails, and lots of playground-like bells & whistles. The overall area will also feature a novelty store selling swim suits, dry snacks, and beverages.

Planned for later in 2012 is the addition of a working model whirlpool. The new rounded pool will be constructed near the park’s new entrance just in time for summer.

“Hydro Island” will re-open with much more theming, benches, more trash bins, and for the first time ever will also have lighting added for special night hours. JEC Models is building the park’s new landscapes using special non-bake clay. Moving forward, there is certainly room to expand.

JEC MODELS To Expand Its Models In 2012

JEC MODELS is preparing both of its model parks for 2012. The owner is working on his 3rd model park, set to debut in late Winter 2012. The new, still un-named model will be marketed as a ‘fun park’. This is due to the anticipated smaller size of the park (less than 6 square feet), with only 10 rides and attractions that will operate. The entire park will feature a handful of classic rides from the mid-1900s, some thrilling, all of which will be family-friendly in some way.

“Hydro Island: Jay’s Model Water Park” will continue to expand in 2012 with the addition of a new aquatics play zone for kids sometime in the middle of the year. The park has slowly been expanding since its debut in late 2008. The new kids area will be pumped separately from the other parts of the park, and will be fully operational once complete.

“Ultima S-Cape: Jay’s Model Theme Park” remains closed until a new location for the park to operate becomes available. Many additions are planned for the model once it does re-open, including another major expansion to exceed 75 square feet, a new themed district, many new family attractions, some major thrill rides, and of course new state of the art record breaking roller coasters. It is hoped that the re-opening and expansion of the park will take place in the near future, however no set timeline is currently in place.

Model Fun Park Annoucement

JEC MODELS is announcing a new model fun park slated to open in Winter 2012. The park will be built around a garden area on a small 6 square foot area. It will open with a small family wood roller coaster, 4 other rides, and nearly a dozen games and food stands. Guests will experience JEC MODELs in a whole new direction. The park will be modeled after an ancient old fashioned amusement park. With gardens of flowers, trees, and gravel as the walkways surrounding all of the attractions. More information will released in November 2011 with full details.

Ultima S-Cape will remained closed indefinately until further notice due of 'lack of space to re-build'.

"Ultima S-Cape" ready for a Big Move

JEC Models confirmed today that its massive model theme park model will be moving to Wickliffe, Ohio. The 58 square-foot park will be downsized upon a reopening to roughly just under 50 square-feet. The park is sure to lose a few roller coasters, as well as themed areas for the time being. Currently, the new big 2012 expansion plans are simply on hold and so are the two signature roller coasters planned for the coming year. It is unknown how Ultima S-Cape will expand in the near future.

Despite the move, both 'Ultima S-Cape' and 'Hydro Island: Model Water Park' will return just in time for the Holiday 2011 season. 'Ultima S-Cape' will most likely focus more on special events in 2012, such as X-MasVille, which has several temporary attractions, including a carousal which might be placed permanently somewhere within the park in the Winter. The 'Hydro Island' model will remain its current size for now. New attractions are planned in 2012.

"Deadfest 2011" Cancelled, Ultima S-Cape will move before 2012.

Ultima S-Cape will be moving to a new location soon. The park will remain open as long as possible during the moving process. The DEADFEST 2011 event has been cancelled. We are unsure if the Holiday 2011 season will happen. More information will be released as it becomes available.

2012 plans are not cancelled, however, plans will not be discussed until after the move takes place, and they are subject to change at any time.

For now, Ultima S-Cape remains open until further notice throughout the Fall 2011 Season. Wish us luck....

The Gift of a Big Expansion

Officals unwrapped Ultima S-Cape's birthday gift this Saturday. In the box they were suprised to find that it was not the new roller coaster, which is currently under construction. Instead, it was the expansion land where the mystery coaster may go, as well as much more. This is a very exciting expansion annoucement for the park. Soon, guests will see a new themed district, more shows, an increase of our dining services, new rides, and of course, more state-of-the-art model roller coasters, all of which will be introduced in 2012.

The "TinTown" district will remain closed until October, 2011 while the expansion land is installed. That district is being moved to another section of the park to make way for the new centerpiece expansion. Another major annoucement will take place October 1, 2011.

"X-masville" will be the new big attraction during the Holiday 2011 season. This speciality-themed area will feature more than 14 shops and other added attractions including a visit with Santa for family members of all ages under our foot-tall Christmas Tree! "X-masville" will open on November 25, 2011 (Black Friday).

"Hydro Island" will add a new slide to open Fall 2011 and Other Upgrades

JEC MODELs is preparing to unveil another new slide to their record breaking model water park, "Hydro Island." The slide will be modeled after the company ProSlide Technology's "TORNADO" slide. Riders will begin their journey inside a dark tunnel before plummeting down a full 45-degree drop, then flying into a unique funnel up the opposite side, followed by a moment of weightlessness. After soaring through a series of oscillations, the remaining survivors will then splash into a pool of shallow water where they will safely exit the cloverleaf-shaped tube. The name of the new slide will be "Enthraller."

In addition, the existing slides; "River-Jack Mountain" will be re-painted royal blue, "Redneck Twister" will receive a fresh coat of red paint, and "Black Hole" will receive a fresh, jet-black paint job. "Hydro Island" is JEC MODELs' Model Water Park and located within their record-breaking model theme park. The park is open for show 360 days of the year. The new slide is set to open Friday August 19 along with Ultima S-Cape's Fall 2011 season launch.

"Skariyaptor" under the brush of air

For just over a year "Skariyaptor" has been thrilling thousands of eyes! The centerpiece attraction was introduced in Spring of 2010. At 31" above the ground and with a second 41" drop at an 80 degree angle, this bright yellow roller coaster was sure to please extreme thrill seekers of any kind. In Fall 201l, heading into the coasters third operating season, the ride was modified due of the low efficiency and high breakdown percentage. The large clif-like second drop was removed and stretched into the park over what is now 'Party Square USA'. Not only stretched and with a new and improved camelback the coaster also received a high speed 120° overbanked turn. Since the change, the ride has become a favorite within the park and an eye catcher at first glimpse as guests enter Ultima S-Cape.

This Fall 2011, "Skariyaptor" will be transformed from an aging hyper coaster generation style to the new generation mega coaster. Beginning with a shiny new color scheme; we will be repainting the roller coaster from yellow to silver gray with new bright red rails and dark maroon ties to complete the new color scheme. "Skariyaptor" will also receive a 'special effect tunnel' of which will feature an on-ride-photo and strobe lights as the train passes by. The total cost for the upgrade is around $60. It is rare to find special bright red rails, so will certainly be a huge treat for such an already amazing roller coaster! An updated, more professional logo is being created for the ride.

The name "Skariyaptor" is a fantasy hybrid bird created by Tingsong Lim from Malaysia. The bird is intended to be half raptor and half human. "Skariyaptor" is now closed for the remainder of the Summer season and will reopen officially this August as part of the Fall 2011 season.

Ultima S-Cape confirms a wild mouse style family coaster as the mystery 9th to open in the park.

Ultima S-Cape's 9th roller coaster coming to the park is now confirmed that the style will be a wild mouse roller coaster of some kind. The park will be testing out a possible spinning effect on the cars to make it something special for the park and hopefully make it NOT just another footprinted family attraction. JEC MODELs also is calling this new roller coaster a 'family coaster'. The ride is costing the park about $30 after shipping. It is expected to open with the other 3 coasters at the beginning of June.

A construction update for the other 2 coasters; the beyond vertical coaster is expected to have a completed layout by the end of today and will begin testing soon after. The new shuttle launch coaster is testing as a 'prototype' currently offsite. No names nor themes are confirmed for any of these coasters yet, expect all of the details in the next press release update.

Ultima S-Cape to add 3 NEW Coasters this Summer 2011

This Morning, JEC MODELs confirmed that three new roller coasters would be opening this Summer 2011 to "Ultima S-Cape."  The park sold "Flam'n Loop" this past winter, a family single loop style roller coaster.  This action brought the coaster count back to 6, but the owner wants 10 before 2012.  This Summer 2011 will introduce the most new roller coasters to be added in one season.

The first coaster will feature a launch of 60mph through 3 inversions, then up a vertical spike and back to repeat the entire ride backwards.  This will total the inversion count to 6.  Riders will soar through unique elements grabbing maximum airtime and experience high G force effects.  This new ride will be themed to the park's new mascot, "Psyko" the kitty cat. The second coaster will be a mined themed surprise!  Rider's will rise a whopping 15" above the ground traveling on a vertical lift then will plunge at a 110 degree angle; a beyond vertical drop!  The coaster will then flow through a strong camel back, sharp highly banked turns and barrel rolls before landing back to reality at the station.

The third coaster will be a small family roller coaster.  Built just for kids, this ride will be less than 12" tall.  The theme for this attraction has not been chosen yet.

Overall the total investments for the Summer 2011 season will not max $150.00, however this will become the largest valued investment of multiple new attractions to the park since last year.  Other park improvements include new restroom facilities and a new food stand. The location of these new roller coasters within the park have not been chosen and finalized yet, nor have their names. This Summer 2011, the Ultima S-Cape coaster count will be 9!, making the model, not only the world's largest of its kind known, but also the model theme park with the most operating roller coasters!

JEC MODELs highlights intended model theme parks 2011 Improvements

After several large expansions and additions to Ultima Scape during the year 2010; park creator, Jay Conley noticed several existing clutters and changes that would need to be made in 2011.

The primary changes will be noticed highly on the west side of the park. This includes rebranding some existing themed areas (districts), shuffling several ageing rides and other attractions around, and the addition of 2 new major attractions.

The middle of the park is also in the overall 2011 plans to become renovated. 'Strip Street USA' will be recieving a new nightclub and many of the districts buildings will be hand painted.

Heading to the westside of the park is Ultima Scapes newest additions 'TinTown' and 'Pleasure Jungle'! 'TinTown was a park gift for the Holiday 2010 season. And so was the relocation of the park entrance. "Hydro Island: Jay's Model Water Park" also debuted during this season on the park map. There are big plans for that specific model to tie into the year 2011 as well. But further development these new areas are certainly planned in the mix of 2011 improvements too, even being so new. 'Pleasure Jungle' opened and made Ultima S-Cape 50 square feet. It adds 5 NEW major attractions to the park including the world's first and only model 5D roller coaster. This is only the beginning to such an expansion to the park. Expect names to change and other new attractions in this specific area in the near future. 'BaseZero' is planned to remain the same during the year of 2011.

Other JEC MODELs highlights include a completely new website. Jay Conley is working with a web developer to create a more professional site. The entire model is being remarketed. Were gonna add our long planned park merchandise for webviewers to help support and donate to the park. Additionally to the new online store, will be custom built model rides and kits at amazing prices. The JEC MODELs team wants to generate more website traffic and park model interests to hopefully expand the team. JECMODELS.com will relaunch with a new Ultima S-Cape website as well in February 2011.

An early halloween gift from the devil! giving you the 6th coaster

Today JEC Model's confirmed a second new roller coaster coming to Ultima S-Cape. Themed to 'sins', the name of the coaster will be the "Flam'n Loop". The layout is quite simple though; it features a vertical loop and two 270 degree spirals. Perhaps the most unique element of this new attraction is that the lift hill is the first half of the vertical loop! JEC Model's owner Jay Conley says that "This new roller coaster will be a perfect addition to Ultima S-Cape and will become a first time roller coaster rider style attraction in the park. There is only one inversion within the entire ride. Clearly even a youngster may wanna try this amazing mild thrill ride." This makes a total of 6 model roller coasters at Ultima S-Cape; still the most model coasters in one model theme park on the East Coast of the USA known. "Flam'n Loop" is scheduled to debut in the "Krazyville" district on September 11, 2010.

Introducing "Tengu," a true roller coaster of which delivers flight!; Expansion postponed.

Ultima S-Cape recently announced their Fall 2010 expansion plan with the addition of "TinTown", a new district and an additional 6 square foot of land to create it. Yesterday, the park determined they would postpone the expansion and several new attractions along with it until the 2010 Holiday Season.

Ultima S-Cape is scheduled to open their Fall 2010 season August 20. The park will only run the "Party Nites" during its first and second weekend of the season.

Despite the expansion delay, Ultima S-Cape's new big roller coaster is here. The ride is as unique as some of the parks current most beloved coasters. Riders will take flight after a near 50mph launch through multiple elements inside the park. "Tengu" is park's first launch style roller coaster. The ride is categorized as a "Flying Roller Coaster". "Tengu" is a name from the mythology dictionary and resembles a 'human crow'. JEC Model's is proud to make "Tengu" Ultima S-Cape's 5th current operating model roller coaster within the 42 square foot park. The ride will be colored with purple supports, a black spine and bright orange colored ties and rails. The new roller coaster is expected to be ready for a grand opening just in time for Labor Day weekend.

Ultima S-Cape will also be refurbishing several other rides and attractions including "Skariyaptor," the parks signature roller coaster. "Skariyaptor" will not be modified in length, however the 4ft second drop will be dismantled and replaced with a new thrill element! The track will be pulled above the midway out of the second drop and soar into what is called a 'wingturn' element which banked at approximately a 135 degree angle at just 14 inches (scaled at 75ft) above the ground. The train on "Skariyaptor" will remain the same. The reason for the slight track modification is to create a higher efficiency rating no matter what the weather brings. "Cyro 360" will also undergo a few track modifications to create a better lift hill efficiency rating as well.

Ultima S-Cape to open a new district of attractions this Fall.

As Summer 2010 wraps up, construction begins for the Fall 2010 season. Ultima S-Cape will add 7 new rides and attractions, all made of pure alluminum. These additions are all a part of a 6 square expansion that the park is adding. The entire expansion area will become a new themed district named "TINTOWN". "TINTOWN" will be directed toward the younger set of family members. All of the new rides will operate by cranked gears, this means no electrical power will be needed. The star attractions of this 'futuristic' themed area will be 'Vintager', a old fashioned tin roller coaster from the 1950s, and 'Rag'n Country Road Race', a high sky car ride that will race inside a clear dome. Other rides and attractions include "The Rocket Ride", "Flying Sprockets", "Mountain Dew-2-Go", "Spam-2-Go", and a untitled miniature game stand. "TinTown" and its attractions are expected to open when the Fall 2010 season begins on August 20.

NEW 4D Ball Coaster to open at Ultima S-Cape

You've seen multiple hanging coasters at the park since its opening, you've seen family coasters, thrill coasters; some custom and other built from a kit. Of course now you've experienced our largest, longest, most extreme roller coaster ever which opened this Spring 2010 "Skariyaptor"; a terrain built mega coaster.

This Summer 2010, JEC MODELS proudly introduces a totally new model roller coaster concept; the '4D Ball Coaster' named "Cyro 360". A '4th Dimension Model Ball Coaster' is described as a unique compact roller coaster of which consists of a customized single-car train of which spins 360 degrees, back and forth based on the natural G-Forces caused by sudden drops and tight loops throughout a short coaster course.

"Cyro 360" will be colored with fresh fire engine red track and silver supports. For start riders will sit either forward or backward (there choice). Guests feet will dangle throughout the entire ride. The ride will travel vertical up a 27" lift hill and then will invert. Riders will begin flipping freely after the first drop. Riders are never guaranteed to never have the same ride experience if they choose to revisit Ultima S-Cape's most unique roller coaster...ever.

This new custom roller coaster is set to become fully unevielled this Summer 2010 as part of Ultima S-Cape's 5 Year Anniversary Celebration.

Among the 8 NEW rides and attractions of which will open this Spring 2010, Skariyaptor will be the new center piece, most recording breaking, and overall largest investment at the park. This amazing out and back style mega roller coaster will plunge down 7 hills, 3 of which are considerably large including 2 that will drop below the model's ground level. Skariyaptor is built around the perimeter of the park and will provide not only an amazing airtime style thrill ride for everyone, but also amazing views of the overall park from several different heights, angles, and areas of the park.

The divided themed areas will be known as districts of the park, imitating a mini state yet in an amusement park setting. Each district name has been chosen to be named as what a guest may interpret as a 'fantasy city name'.

The district with the most new attractions for this season is "Sprinkleland", a land built for the fun and laughter of both children and families. The area will include 2 new mini liveshows; "Crabby Chef" and "High School Musical Live! (HSM)". Additionally the area also will have new roundabout ride for any aged family member. Some rides are also being re-introduced as a new ride due of the cooresponding themes that they will now have to be adjacent to, such as what use to be called "Wheels Of Fun" now renamed and rethemed as "I Spy".

Overall Ultima S-Cape will introduce 8 new rides and attractions and 6 themed district names for the Spring 2010 season. The park has also been resized to 43 sqaure feet, a 7 foot increase from the Winter 2010 season!

Record Breaking Roller Coaster to open at "Ultima S-Cape

A NEW steel beast is coming to Ultima S-Cape this Spring 2010. The roller coaster course will travel throughout the perimeter of the park unlike any other roller coaster built from JEC MODELS. Most attractions are compacted to a small footprint of an amusement park. This NEW, highly anticipated roller coaster will become JEC MODELS and the park's Largest, Fastest, Longest, and Steepest of any kind ever. Additionally it will become the tallest attraction in the park at 31". The name of this mega coaster is "Skariyaptor", which is a JEC MODELS invented character who is a mix between a raptor bird and hybrid human. A special concept hand drawing of what a Skariyaptor is was donated to the park by Tingsong Lim, a signature artist and doctor from Malaysia. This drawing will become a trademark picture for the ride as well as a registered trademark of JEC MODELS.

"Skariyaptor" will have a total of 10 heart-pounding hills and special elements. Though the ride will not go upside down, it will dive 23 inches below the park's ground level, creating a new record breaking 41 inch second drop at an 80 degree angle! Riders will travel through over 500 inches of twisted track, the longest model roller coaster in the mid-west known to date. Also, one custom train of which is valued at about 20% of the attraction value will glide smoothly with a simple and comfortable lap bar.

Though this NEW roller coaster will not go upside down, the JEC MODELS team assured the ride would still live up to there definition of a true thrill machine. The attraction is sure to become a center piece attraction for every Ultima S-Cape thrill seeker guest. "Skariyaptor" is expected to debut on March 19, 2010 as part of the Spring 2010 expansion and Ultima S-Cape's 5 year Anniversary Celebration. The ride will stand out featuring bright yellow spines and rails, deep red cross ties, and hunter green supports. The lift color will be a dark blue mixture with a variety color greens.

'Rabid Rumbler 360' on the chopping blocks!

Today, Ultima S-Cape began deconstructing there near $400.00 valued multi-inversion hanging star roller coaster, "Rabid Rumbler 360". The park has new plans for the left behind pieces from supports to track, even the just renewed customized trains. In fact new construction has begun on a new base at approximately 4ft long and only 1ft wide. An annoucement for the parks new plans is expected sometime within the week.

Rumor has it that the park is planning on keeping the 'Rabid Rumbler' name within the new coaster somehow or another. Considering the park is headed to Florida anyways soon, this could turn out to be there new big attraction for Fall 2008 instead of the previous rumored new big dipper coaster just purchased recently by JEC Models, owner of the model theme park.

Ultima S-Cape will be spinning around various park improvements this Spring 2008

Today, JEC MODELS announces their investment for the Spring 2008 season. For starters, "El Lasso" will be the park's star new attraction! From sharp whipping turns to wild plunges and sudden jumps; "El Lasso" will become the world's first and only model spinning roller coaster. Guest's will step into custom cars with a seating arrangement that will allow riders to face each other; then the car will spin freely while traveling around a standard wild mouse course. "It's going to be an amazing ride for the entire family", says Jay Con, owner of Ultima S-Cape. Originally built to open for Winter 2008, the park owner says the delayed opening is well worth the wait. Additionally, the park will unveil "Rabid Rumbler 360" optimized for the 'Dance Zone's party nights. The totally new night time experience will feature glow in the dark trains and track. A new station is also planned for the giant troubled roller coaster.

Not only will the park feature major upgrades for there roller coasters, however also for the ground too! JEC MODELS is investing in a sub-base to level out the park and a new grass mat to prepare Ultima S-Cape for a grand nighttime event experience tentatively just in time for this summer. Paths will be added for the first time since Fall 2006 along with pathway lamps.

Additional various improvements are also planned for the park. The new Spring 2008 season is scheduled to begin April 4.

"El Lasso" opening is delayed, but will for sure Whip & now Spin too this Spring 2008!

Spring 2008 at "Ultima S-Cape" will start with a spin as that Winter 2008's suppose to be 'star' attraction was delayed. "In the past we opened up unfinished rides, that was a mistake for the sake of maintance as well as the safety of our guests", says Jay Con; model theme park owner. The JEC Models team has been working on a solution for the owners original dream up for what is suppose to be a standard wild mouse roller coaster from Faller. As all of "Ultima S-Cape" rides and attractions are, Jay wanted something about this attraction to be different. He knew the layout could'nt be modified, but the cars could; therefore wanted spinning cars. This required the company to have to order new cars for the ride, imported from Germany. The cars would have to be specially crafted and built just for 'El Lasso'. When the roller coaster opens this Spring 2008, it will be the world's first and only model spinning roller coaster known. Unlike the traditional Faller model wild mouse, riders will face each other rather than the traditional 'facing the front' method. Riders may start off backwards or forwards, however by the end of the coaster ride, they may be still spinning on the brakes! JEC Model's noted that the extended wait will be worth it, they just wanna do the job right for there guests. The park will also be investing in their other roller coaster for the Spring 2008 season, details coming soon.

JEC MODELâ??s presents: The Halloween DeadFest 2007 at JMTP

The Halloween DeadFest 2007 at "Jason's Model Theme Park" will feature 12 added attractions for the event including a NEW theme for Rabid Rumbler.

For starter's guests will pay the regular admission fee at the gate. The first obvious attraction changes are the extended layout of the parks only roller coaster and a name change with that to "Haunted Rabid Rumbler", the new extended layout replaces the speed bump turn with a switch fly turn, where riders will experience high negative G's while on the element. A smooth 270 degree helix follows the turn, flipping the G's to positive and then into the Zero G Twist inversion. Yes that makes 6 inversions and will complete the course with over 528 inches of track. The lift height stays the same, but the station has been shortened by around 3 inches for better ride effiency. This is just the beginning to a better "Rabid Rumbler", by the holiday season, the coaster will receive a permanent new layout, paint job in some areas, a new overall theme, and of course a new name with that all.

While "Haunted Rabid Rumbler" is a major refurbished attraction for the Deadfest event, so are the 3 haunted houses. Each of the attractions will have there own theme to them and a special area of the houses for children to trick-or-treat at each door.

The park will also feature the "Halloween Party" geared toward pre-teens and young adults, the party will be located inside and out the "DanceZone Gazebo". Complimentry drinks and snacks will be provided. Also a contest every night; (Friday and Saturday); will be held. We will be giving away $25.00 in prizes per night to 3 people a night for the entire month of October for this special event.
